This is an exploratory contact re an initiative I have been considering for some time
in response to request from Colleagues, Clients and Friends.
I have included you because of past contact or conversation about this proposal with me.
The proposal I am considering for 2009 is to organize a program to develop in volunteer
participants increased effectiveness in facilitating leadership/organizational/group process.
I believe that planned learning in this area has been very valuable for me and at various
stages of my life, I have designed and led with others this type of work in diverse settings

The program will centre on experiential/inductive learning building group facilitation and
interpersonal skills, enhanced by theory and supervised practice and provision of relevant
resources.
The program will require participation and commitment over a six month period in the middle
of 2009 starting say in March and finishing in early September. The program will involve three
fully residential weekends..with two early on and the last later in the program. I am proposing
we use an appropriate facility on Bribie Island to minimize travel time.
During the six months we will work in the evenings in Brisbane at least 4-5 times to
pursue learnings together.
Towards the end of the program participants will be expected to lead and facilitate an inductive
session in a selected setting with the session being evaluated by other program members observing.
At this stage I want to know what level of interest there is in this proposal?
I have no fixed idea of costs other than venue expenses. There will be considerable personal
and professional benefit to be gained through participation.
I do not intend to donate my services and skills or that of others who may assist in the
activity. However I do not intend to set an unreasonable fee for this activity. THUS I need you
to tell me CONFIDENTIALLY how much you would be prepared to invest in your development through
such a program. this will not commit you or me but it will help me decide whether it is worthwhile
proceeding further.
I hope that I can make a decision about this proposal by Friday November 28?
I intend to keep facilitating Leadership Circles in 2009 and 2010 and offering at the same
time to facilitate the Developmental Leadership Processes of The Centre for Creative
Leadership: Benchmarks, Executive Dimensions and Skillscope for Leaders and Managers
and Supervisors.
I hope that through participation in the above program others may feel confident to do well what
I currently do and enjoy immensely!
