Dear All.

This is a personal note that I am sending to my family, friends and colleagues.

I have given it much thought and this note is prepared in response to many who are asking me how much longer I intend to work and as a commitment statement for myself.

While I am enjoying my working life, I feel a need to plan my immediate future. My life has always been an "adventure on the go". While this has been challenging, interesting and great learning, I think now it's time to plan with an eye to the future for the benefit of my family, my circle of friends and colleagues and also for myself.

I have decided that I will stop "work" at the end of 2010.

I have accumulated a rich fund of knowledge based on many diverse experiences since beginning my working life teaching in Bundaberg in 1962. As you know my passion is to make this knowledge available to others through what I do.

Through this personal note, I wish to encourage conversations with you so that over the next three years I can continue to "value add" both professionally and personally.

I invite you to initiate these conversations.

I believe that I have built a range of valuable products and services in my customers/clients eyes that are (or could be) transferable over the next three years to others who share my interests and passions. If you are interested with a view to enhancing your professional and personal life, then let's start talking.

Beyond 2010 I intend to base myself at home in Chapel Hill, Brisbane and enjoy fishing trips to Lake Cootharaba and the Noosa River or North Stradbroke Island. I love my extended family and my life around rivers and the ocean and I intend to get busy now building for this future.
